About LSIRs

LSIRS stands for "Let's Stop Ignoring Really Stupid Sports." It is an amateur football league that was founded in 2005 by a group of friends who were tired of the traditional football leagues. LSIRs is a non-contact league that is designed to be fun and safe for players of all skill levels.

The rules of LSIRs are simple. There are no tackling, blocking, or passing. Players can only advance the ball by running or lateraling. The game is played on a smaller field than traditional football, and there are only five players on each team.

History

LSIRS was founded in 2005 by a group of friends in New York City. The founders were tired of the traditional football leagues, which they felt were too violent and dangerous. They wanted to create a league that was fun and safe for players of all skill levels.

LSIRS match

The first LSIRs game was played in Central Park in 2005. There were only five teams in the league that year, but the league has grown rapidly since then. There are now teams in cities all over the United States.

LSIRS is a non-profit organization. The league is run by volunteers, and all of the proceeds from registration fees go back into the league to support the cost of equipment, fields, and referees.

Rules
