Introduction
The Longford and District Schoolboy/girl Soccer League (LDSSL) is an amateur football league for boys and girls aged 6-17 in the County of Longford, Ireland.
The league was founded in 1991 and currently has over 100 teams playing in it. The teams are divided into different divisions based on age and ability.
The league season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other team in their division once. The top teams in each division qualify for the playoffs, with the winners of the playoffs being crowned champions.
The LDSSL also runs a number of cup competitions, including the Kennedy Cup, which is the national schoolboy/girl soccer championship.
The league is affiliated to the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) and is a member of the Leinster Schoolboys/girls Soccer League.
