Introduction
The London League is an amateur football league in England affiliated to the Amateur Football Alliance (AFA). It is based in and around Greater London and caters for 11–a–side men's adult teams.The league was founded in 1907 and currently has 40 open aged member clubs and a handful of veterans-only clubs running around 190 teams in 21 divisions. All clubs are strictly amateur.
The league is divided into three tiers: the Premier Division, Division One, and Division Two. The top two teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the Combined Counties League Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division One. The top two teams in Division One are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division Two. The bottom two teams in Division Two are relegated to the AFA Senior County League.
The league also has a number of cup competitions, including the London League Cup, the London League Challenge Cup, and the London League Supplementary Cup.
Recent Season
The 2022-23 season was the 116th season of the London League. The Premier Division was won by West Wickham, who finished two points ahead of Weirside Rangers. The champions were promoted to the Combined Counties League Premier Division.In Division One, the title was won by Hammersmith, who finished two points ahead of Actonians Association. The champions were promoted to the Premier Division.
In Division Two, the title was won by Old Parmiterians 5th, who finished two points ahead of Polytechnic 5th. The champions were promoted to Division One.
