Introduction
The London & Kent Suburban Football League is an amateur football league in England that operates in the London and Kent area. It was founded in 1904 and currently has 80 clubs competing in its three divisions.The league is affiliated to the Football Association and is a member of the Kent County Football Association. The top division of the league, the Premier Division, is at Step 7 of the National League System.
The league's headquarters are at The Oval, Kennington, London.
History
The London & Kent Suburban Football League was founded in 1904 by a group of clubs from the London and Kent area. The inaugural season featured 12 clubs, with the first champions being Crystal Palace Reserves.The league has grown steadily over the years and now has 80 clubs competing in its three divisions. The top division, the Premier Division, was renamed the Premier Division in 2017.
The league has produced a number of professional footballers, including Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters, and Ray Wilkins.
Current season
The current season is the 2022-23 season. The Premier Division is being contested by 20 clubs, with the top two teams being promoted to the Isthmian League Division One South.The current champions are Beckenham Town, who won their first title in 2021-22.
