Leicester Mutual League
The Leicester & District Mutual Football League (LDMFL) is an amateur football league in Leicestershire, England. It is affiliated to the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA.
The LDMFL was founded in 1920 and has approximately 80 clubs and over 460 teams from Under 7 to Under 10. The league is divided into a number of divisions, with promotion and relegation between divisions each season.
History
The LDMFL was founded in 1920 by a group of football enthusiasts in Leicester. The league started with just a few teams, but it has grown steadily over the years. Today, the LDMFL is one of the largest amateur football leagues in Leicestershire.
The LDMFL has a number of cup competitions, including the League Cup, the Chairman's Cup, and the President's Cup. The League Cup is the most prestigious cup competition in the league.
Current Season
The current season of the LDMFL started in September 2022 and will run until May 2023. There are a total of 460 teams competing in the league this season, divided into a number of divisions. The top division of the LDMFL is the Premier Division.
The current champions of the Premier Division are Braunstone Athletic. The LDMFL also has a number of cup competitions, including the League Cup, the Chairman's Cup, and the President's Cup.
