Leicester & District Sunday Juniors League
The Leicester & District Sunday Juniors League is an amateur football league for boys and girls aged 13 to 15 in Leicestershire and Rutland.
The league was founded in 1972 and currently has over 80 clubs and 250 teams. The season runs from September to April, with each team playing 18 matches.
Divisions
The league is divided into four divisions:
- Division One
- Division Two
- Division Three
- Division Four
The top two teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the next division.
Cup competitions
The league also runs a number of cup competitions, including:
- The League Cup
- The Challenge Cup
- The Junior Cup
- The Fair Play Cup
The League Cup is the most prestigious cup competition in the league and is contested by all teams in the league. The Challenge Cup is contested by the teams in Divisions One and Two, while the Junior Cup is contested by the teams in Divisions Three and Four. The Fair Play Cup is awarded to the team that has the best disciplinary record in the league.
