Introduction
The Leicester and Charnwood Football League is an amateur football league in Leicestershire, England. It was founded in 1906 and currently has over 200 clubs affiliated to it. The league is divided into a number of divisions, with the top division being the Premier Division.
The league is affiliated to the Leicestershire County FA and the Football Association.
The current champions of the Premier Division are Thurmaston Town.
History
The Leicester and Charnwood Football League was founded in 1906. The first season consisted of just 10 clubs. The league has grown steadily over the years and now has over 200 clubs affiliated to it.
The league has been won by a number of different clubs over the years. The most successful club is Thurmaston Town, who have won the league 14 times.
Divisions
The Leicester and Charnwood Football League is divided into a number of divisions, with the top division being the Premier Division. The other divisions are the First Division, the Second Division, the Third Division, and the Fourth Division.
