Leicester Alliance Sunday League
The Leicester Alliance Sunday League is an amateur football league in Leicestershire, England. It was founded in 1921 and currently has over 100 teams competing in six divisions. The top division is the Premier Division, followed by Division One, Division Two, Division Three, Division Four, and Division Five.
The league is affiliated to the Leicestershire County Football Association and follows the FA's rules and regulations. Matches are played on Sundays, usually between 10:00 and 16:00.
History
The Leicester Alliance Sunday League was founded in 1921 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league initially had just four teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 teams competing in six divisions.
The league has been won by a number of different clubs over the years, including Sileby Town, Oadby United, and Braunstone Athletic. The current champions are Countesthorpe United.
