Leeds Combination Association Football League
The Leeds Combination Association Football League is an amateur football league in West Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1907 and currently has 45 member clubs. The league is divided into three divisions: Jubilee Premier, Division One, and Division Two.
History
The Leeds Combination was founded in 1907 by a group of amateur football clubs in Leeds. The league originally had just four clubs, but it quickly grew in popularity and now has over 40 member clubs. The league has been played continuously since its inception, except for during the First and Second World Wars.
The Leeds Combination has produced a number of professional footballers, including Gordon Strachan, Gary Speed, and David Batty. The league also has a strong tradition of youth development, and many of its clubs have produced players who have gone on to play for professional clubs.
Current season
The current season of the Leeds Combination is the 2023-2024 season. The Jubilee Premier Division is currently being led by Republica Internationale, with Kippax Old Boys in second place and East Leeds Celtic in third place. In Division One, Commercial HQ are top of the table, followed by Osmondthorpe Sports and Social Club and New Inn. Division Two is being led by Oulton Athletic, with FC West Leeds and Little London in second and third place respectively.
Cup competitions
The Leeds Combination also runs a number of cup competitions, including the Challenge Cup, the Luty Cup, and the Sanford Cup. The Challenge Cup is the most prestigious cup competition in the league, and it is open to all member clubs. The Luty Cup is a knockout competition for the top eight clubs in the Jubilee Premier Division, and the Sanford Cup is a knockout competition for the top eight clubs in Division One.
