LCFA Sefton Girls League
The LCFA Sefton Girls League is an amateur football league for girls and women in Sefton, Merseyside, England. It was founded in 2001 and currently has over 50 teams competing in various age groups from U7 to U18.
History
The LCFA Sefton Girls League was founded in 2001 by a group of local football enthusiasts who wanted to provide more opportunities for girls and women to play football in the area. The league has grown steadily since its inception and now has over 50 teams competing in various age groups.
The league is affiliated with the Liverpool County Football Association (LCFA) and follows the LCFA's rules and regulations. The league also has a strong commitment to developing young players and provides coaching and support to all of its member teams.
Current season
The current season of the LCFA Sefton Girls League is underway and is scheduled to run from September 2022 to May 2023. The league is divided into three divisions: Division One, Division Two, and Division Three.
The top teams in each division will be promoted to the next division at the end of the season, while the bottom teams will be relegated to the lower division. The league also has a cup competition, the LCFA Sefton Girls League Cup, which is open to all of the league's member teams.
