Introduction
The LCFA /Prescott walking football League is an amateur football league for people over the age of 50. It is based in the Prescot area of Merseyside, England.
The league was founded in 2018 and currently has 10 teams. The teams play each other once in a round-robin format, with the top two teams at the end of the season playing in a championship match.
The league is affiliated with the Walking Football Association (WFA), which is the governing body for walking football in England.
Rules
The rules of walking football are similar to the rules of regular football, but there are some key differences.
- Players must not run.
- The ball must be kept below waist height.
- There is no offside rule.
- Each team has five players on the pitch at any one time.
