Isle of Wight Sunday Youth League
The Isle of Wight Sunday Youth League is an amateur football league for youth teams on the Isle of Wight. It was founded in 1972 and currently has teams in the following age groups: U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, and U16.
The league is affiliated to the Isle of Wight Football Association and follows the FA's rules and regulations. Matches are played on Sundays throughout the season, from September to April.
League Structure
The league is divided into two divisions: the Premier Division and Division One. The Premier Division consists of the top 10 teams in the league, while Division One consists of the remaining teams.
At the end of the season, the top two teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the Isle of Wight Saturday League, while the bottom two teams in Division One are relegated to the Isle of Wight Sunday League.
Cup Competitions
The league also has a number of cup competitions, including:
- The Isle of Wight Sunday Youth League Cup
- The Isle of Wight Sunday Youth League Trophy
- The Isle of Wight Sunday Youth League Challenge Cup
The cup competitions are open to all teams in the league.
