Intermediate Two Football League
The Intermediate Two Football League is an amateur football league in England. It is the third tier of the National League System, below the National League North and South, and above the Northern Premier League and Southern League Premier Divisions.
The league was formed in 1986 as the Isthmian League Premier Division, and was renamed the Intermediate Two Football League in 2004. It currently consists of 22 clubs, divided into two divisions of 11.
Season Structure
The season runs from August to May, and each team plays each other team in their division twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams in each division are promoted to the National League North or South, while the bottom two teams in each division are relegated to the Northern Premier League Premier Division or Southern League Premier Division.
The winners of the Intermediate Two Football League Cup are also promoted to the National League North or South.
