IFA Grassroots Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Small Sided Games Centre
The IFA Grassroots Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Small Sided Games Centre (ABC SSG Centre) is one of the Irish FA's McDonald's Small Sided Games Centres across Northern Ireland.
The Irish FA organises these centres in each of Northern Ireland's council areas, and this centre is the one which is based in the Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council.
The centres are supported by McDonald's as a company and locally with each franchise holder; the local supporter for this centre is John McCollum, who has restaurants in Banbridge, Craigavon, Lurgan and Portadown.
About the Centre
The ABC SSG Centre is one of the biggest centres in Northern Ireland, and is believed to be second in size only to the Belfast Games Development Programme.
The centre prides itself on running everything correctly and with transparency for all its member clubs. Each member club must meet (and maintain) a set criteria to be a member, which includes proper working Policies & Procedures, and all coaches and volunteers being Access NI checked at least every three years.
The centre offers a variety of leagues and competitions for players of all ages and abilities, from under-7s to adults. There are also opportunities for players to get involved in coaching and refereeing.
