HYFL: Harrow Youth Football League & Harrow Soccer Combination
The HYFL (Harrow Youth Football League & Harrow Soccer Combination) is an amateur football league in Harrow, England. It was founded in 1968 and currently has over 100 teams competing in its leagues. The league caters for players of all ages, from under 7 to under 18.
The HYFL is divided into two divisions: the Harrow Youth Football League and the Harrow Soccer Combination. The Harrow Youth Football League is a 9-a-side league for players under 12, while the Harrow Soccer Combination is a 5-a-side, 7-a-side, and 9-a-side league for players under 11.
The HYFL has a strong focus on development, and all teams are encouraged to play attacking football. The league also runs a number of coaching courses for players and coaches.
The HYFL is affiliated to the Football Association, and its teams compete in the FA Youth Cup. The league has also produced a number of professional footballers, including former England internationals Ashley Cole and Jermain Defoe.
