Hull Sunday Football League
The Hull Sunday Football League (HSFL) is an amateur football league in Hull, England. It was founded in 1921 and is currently the largest Sunday league in the city, with over 100 teams competing in 11 divisions.
The HSFL is affiliated to the Humberside Football Association and follows the FA's Laws of the Game. Matches are played on Sundays between September and April, with teams playing each other twice in the regular season. The top two teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted, while the bottom two teams are relegated.
The HSFL has a cup competition, the Hull Sunday Challenge Cup, which is open to all teams in the league. The cup competition is played in a knockout format, with the final usually being held in May.
History
The HSFL was founded in 1921 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league initially consisted of just six teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 teams.
The HSFL has been home to some talented players over the years, including former Hull City players Dean Windass and Billy Sharp. The league has also produced a number of international players, including former England internationals David Beckham and Michael Owen.
