Introduction
The HBSFL (Hull & East Riding Sunday Football League) is an amateur football league in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1920 and currently has over 100 teams competing in its various divisions.
The HBSFL is affiliated to the East Riding County Football Association and the Football Association. It is a well-respected league and its teams have produced a number of talented players who have gone on to play professional football.
The HBSFL season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other once in the regular season. The top teams in each division qualify for the play-offs, with the winners being promoted to the next division.
The HBSFL also has a number of cup competitions, including the HBSFL Challenge Cup, the HBSFL League Cup, and the HBSFL President's Cup. These cups are open to all teams in the league and provide a chance for teams to win silverware.
