Hayes And Middx League
The Hayes And Middx League is an amateur football league based in Hayes, Middlesex, England. It was founded in 1909 and currently consists of one division, the Premier Division. The league is affiliated to the Middlesex County Football Association.
History
The Hayes And Middx League was founded in 1909 as the Hayes Sunday Football League. It was originally a single division league, but it expanded to two divisions in 1920 and to three divisions in 1930. The league was suspended during World War II, but it resumed after the war. In 1970, the league was renamed the Hayes And Middx League. The league has remained a single division league since 1970.
Current Structure
The Hayes And Middx League currently consists of one division, the Premier Division. The Premier Division has 14 teams, which play each other twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the Middlesex County League. The bottom two teams are relegated to the West Middlesex and Hayes Youth League.
