Introduction
The Greene King Essex Veterans Football League is an amateur football league for players over the age of 45. It was founded in 1993 and consists of 77 teams playing in 8 divisions across the South-East of England.
The league is affiliated to the Essex County Football Association and is a member of the Veterans Football Foundation.
The league's season runs from September to May, with each team playing 22 matches. The top two teams in each division are promoted, while the bottom two teams are relegated.
The league also has a cup competition, the Greene King Essex Veterans Cup, which is open to all teams in the league.
