Introduction
The Greek League is the third tier of the Greek football league system. It is an amateur league, and consists of 4 groups of 18 teams each. The winners of each group are promoted to the Super League 2, and the bottom 6 teams are relegated to the Local Championships.
History
The Greek League was created in 1962, as the second tier of the Greek football league system. It was renamed the Football League in 2010. In 2019, the Super League 2 was created, and the Football League became the third tier of the league system.
