Gray Hooper Holt LLP Mid Sussex Football League

The Gray Hooper Holt LLP Mid Sussex Football League is an association football league formed in 1900. The league is headed by the Premier Division which is at level eleven of the English football league system and member clubs are based in East Sussex, West Sussex and south-eastern Surrey. Current sponsors are Gray Hooper Holt LLP and the league is currently known as the Gray Hooper Holt LLP Mid Sussex League.

History

The Mid Sussex Football League was founded in 1900 and originally consisted of just four teams. The league has since grown to over 100 clubs and is now one of the largest amateur football leagues in England.

The league has been sponsored by Gray Hooper Holt LLP since 1999. The law firm's support has helped the league to grow and develop, and they have also been instrumental in introducing a number of new initiatives, such as the introduction of a women's league and a disability football league.

The Gray Hooper Holt LLP Mid Sussex Football League consists of 10 divisions:

The Premier Division is the top division in the league and is followed by the Championship. The bottom four teams in the Premier Division are relegated to Division 1 at the end of each season, while the top four teams in Division 1 are promoted to the Premier Division.

The other divisions are structured in a similar way, with the bottom teams being relegated and the top teams being promoted at the end of each season.
