GFA Walking Football League
The GFA Walking Football League is an amateur football league for men and women over the age of 50 who want to play football without running. The league was founded in 2016 by the Gloucestershire Football Association (GFA) and currently has four divisions: Over 50s Group A, Over 50s Group B, Over 60s Group A, and Over 60s Group B.
The rules of walking football are similar to those of regular football, with the main difference being that players are not allowed to run. Players must also keep one foot on the ground at all times. The game is played on a smaller pitch than regular football, and there are no throw-ins or goal kicks.
The GFA Walking Football League is open to all players over the age of 50, regardless of their skill level. The league runs two seasons per year, with each season consisting of 10-12 matches. Matches are played on Sunday mornings at various venues across Gloucestershire.
