Introduction
The Lega Nazionale Dilettanti (LND) is the amateur football league in Italy. It is the largest component of the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC), the Italian Football Federation.
The LND was founded in 1959 and currently organizes over 20,000 teams in a variety of competitions, including Serie D, the fifth tier of the Italian football league system.
Structure
The LND is divided into 20 regional committees, each of which organizes its own set of competitions. The regional committees are:
- Abruzzo
- Basilicata
- Calabria
- Campania
- Emilia-Romagna
- Friuli-Venezia Giulia
- Lazio
- Liguria
- Lombardia
- Marche
The LND also organizes a number of national competitions, including the following:
- Serie D
- Coppa Italia Dilettanti
- Supercoppa Dilettanti
- Campionato Nazionale Under 19
- Campionato Nazionale Under 17
