Essex County Schools FA
The Essex County Schools FA (ECFA) is the governing body for school football in Essex, England. It was founded in 1922 and is affiliated to the English Schools' Football Association (ESFA).
The ECFA organises a variety of competitions for school teams, including the Essex County Cup, the Essex County Trophy, and the Essex County Sevens. It also provides training and development opportunities for coaches and referees.
History
The ECFA was founded in 1922 by a group of schoolmasters. The first Essex County Cup was held in 1923, and the first Essex County Trophy was held in 1924.
The ECFA has grown significantly over the years, and now organises competitions for over 1,000 school teams. It also provides training and development opportunities for over 1,000 coaches and referees.
