ERCFA Walking Football League

The ERCFA Walking Football League is an amateur football league for people over the age of 50. It is based in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England.

The league was founded in 2018 and currently has four teams: Cottingham Rangers, Hornsea Town, Hull Pace Makers, and North Ferriby FC.

ERCFA Walking Football League action

The teams play each other twice in a season, with a home and away fixture. The season runs from September to April.

Rules

The rules of walking football are similar to those of regular football, but with some modifications to make the game more accessible to older players.

  • Players must walk at all times, except when they are in possession of the ball.
  • There is no tackling.
  • The ball must be passed within three seconds of receiving it.
  • There are no throw-ins.
  • The goal area is smaller than a regular football goal.
