Edmonton & District Sunday Football League
The Edmonton & District Sunday Football League is an amateur, 11-a-side men's league based in North London. It was founded in 1925, making it the oldest Sunday league in England.
The league currently has 32 teams competing in two divisions. Matches are played on Sundays at various venues across Edmonton and Enfield.
History
The Edmonton & District Sunday Football League was founded in 1925 by a group of local enthusiasts. The first season consisted of just four teams, but the league quickly grew in popularity and now has over 300 members.
The league has produced a number of talented players over the years, including former England internationals Ray Wilkins and Trevor Brooking.
Current season
The current season is the 98th season of the Edmonton & District Sunday Football League. The defending champions are The Old Boys, who won the title in the 2021/22 season.
The current season is scheduled to start on September 11, 2022 and will end on May 28, 2023.
