Edmonton & District Sunday Football League
The Edmonton & District Sunday Football League is an amateur, 11-a-side men's league based in North London. It was founded in 1925, making it the oldest Sunday league in England.
The league currently has 12 teams competing across two divisions. Matches are played on Sunday afternoons at various venues across Edmonton and Enfield.
History
The Edmonton & District Sunday Football League was founded in 1925 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season saw just six teams compete, but the league has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 teams.
The league has produced a number of talented players over the years, including former Arsenal and England international David Rocastle.
Current Season
The 2022/23 season is currently underway. The top two teams from each division will be promoted at the end of the season, while the bottom two teams from each division will be relegated.
The current champions are the Norsemen, who have won the league four times in the past five years.
