Echo Junior Football League
The Echo Junior Football League is an amateur football league for children and young people in the East of England. It is affiliated with the Essex FA.
History
The Echo Junior Football League was founded in 1972. The league has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 clubs and 2,000 players.
The league is divided into a number of divisions, based on the age and ability of the players. The top division is the Premier Division, and the bottom division is the Development Division.
Season
The Echo Junior Football League season runs from September to May. Each team plays each other team in their division once, home and away.
The top two teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, and the bottom two teams are relegated to the next division.
Cup competitions
The Echo Junior Football League also runs a number of cup competitions, including the Echo Junior Cup, the Echo Challenge Cup, and the Echo Junior Shield.
The Echo Junior Cup is open to all teams in the league. The Echo Challenge Cup is open to teams in the top two divisions. The Echo Junior Shield is open to teams in the bottom two divisions.
