East Donegal Schoolboys
The East Donegal Schoolboys (EDSB) is an amateur football league based in East Donegal, Ireland. It was founded in 1968 and currently has over 400 players enrolled. The league caters for boys and girls aged 8 to 16 years old.
History
The EDSB was founded in 1968 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league initially had just a few teams, but it has grown steadily over the years. Today, the EDSB has over 400 players enrolled and it is one of the largest amateur football leagues in Ireland.
The EDSB has a long and proud history of producing talented footballers. Some of the players who have come through the EDSB ranks include James McClean, Paddy McCourt, and Eunan O'Kane.
Competitions
The EDSB runs a number of competitions for its players. The main competition is the U16 League, which is played on a Saturday afternoon. The EDSB also runs a U14 League, a U12 League, and a U10 League. In addition to these leagues, the EDSB also runs a number of cup competitions.
Venues
The EDSB games are played at a number of venues in East Donegal. The main venue is St. Canice's Park in Eglinton. Other venues include Drumkeen Park, Cappry Park, and Lifford Celtic Park.
