Introduction
The E-Junioren is an amateur football league for boys and girls aged 10 and 11 years old in Germany. It is the lowest level of the German football league system.
The league is organized by the German Football Association (DFB). There are over 10,000 teams competing in the E-Junioren league.
The season runs from September to June. Each team plays 12-14 games during the season.
Rules
The rules of the E-Junioren league are similar to the rules of the adult game. However, there are some modifications to make the game more suitable for younger players.
- The field is smaller than a full-size football pitch.
- The goals are smaller than a full-size football goal.
- There are no throw-ins.
- The offside rule is not enforced.
Format
The E-Junioren league is a round-robin format. Each team plays each other team in their league once.
The top teams in each league qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs are a knockout competition.
