The Dumfries Sunday Amateur Football League (DSAFL) is an amateur football league based in Dumfries, Scotland. It was founded in 1978 and currently has 14 teams competing in one league.
History
The DSAFL was founded in 1978 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just four teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has 14 teams competing in one league.
The DSAFL has a long and proud history. In the early years, the league was dominated by a few teams, but in recent years there has been a more even spread of talent. The league has also produced a number of talented players who have gone on to play professional football.
Current Season
The current season of the DSAFL is the 2022-23 season. The league is currently being led by Birchtree, who are unbeaten in their first five games. Other teams in contention for the title include Ruthwell Rovers, St Cuthbert Wanderers, and Queen of the South Juniors.
The DSAFL also has a number of cup competitions, including the League Cup, the TPS Trophy, and the Soccer Sixes. The League Cup is the most prestigious cup competition in the league, and it is currently being held by Birchtree.
