History
The Division 5 Football League was founded in 2004, following the merger of the Football Conference and the Isthmian League. The league was originally called the Conference National, but was renamed to Division 5 in 2015.
The current champions of Division 5 are Solihull Moors, who won the title in the 2022-23 season.
Promotion and relegation
The top two clubs in each division of Division 5 are promoted to the National League. The bottom four clubs in each division are relegated to Step 2 of the NLS.
There is also a playoff system for the third-placed clubs in each division. The two winners of the playoffs are also promoted to the National League.
