Division 1 East Brighton, Worthing And District Football League
Division 1 East Brighton, Worthing And District Football League is an amateur football league in England. It is one of two Division 1 leagues in the Brighton, Worthing And District Football League, the other being Division 1 West. The league is currently in its ninth season, having been established in 2015 following the merger of the Brighton, Hove & District Football League and the Worthing & District League.
The league consists of 12 teams, all of which are based in the Brighton, Hove and Worthing areas of Sussex. The teams play each other twice, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 matches per season. The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division 2 East.
The current champions of Division 1 East are AFC Broadwater, who won the title in the 2022-23 season. The most successful team in the history of the league is Hangleton, who have won the title a record four times.
