Introduction
The Devon Women's Football League is an association football league for women in Devon, South West England. It consists of two divisions, Premier and Division One, which sit at levels seven and eight of the English women's football league structure.
The league was founded in 1992 and currently has 17 member clubs. The current champions are Signal Box Oak Villa Ladies, who won the Premier Division in 2022-23.
History
The Devon Women's Football League was founded in 1992 by a group of women who wanted to create a competitive league for female footballers in Devon. The league started with just six teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has 17 member clubs.
The league has been won by a number of different clubs over the years, but Signal Box Oak Villa Ladies are the most successful team, having won the title 10 times.
Current Season
The current season, 2023-24, is the 32nd season of the Devon Women's Football League. The Premier Division is currently being led by Signal Box Oak Villa Ladies, who have won all of their games so far.
The Division One title race is much closer, with a number of teams in contention. The current leaders are Teignmouth Ladies, who are followed by Crediton United Ladies and Halwill Ladies.
