Introduction
The Devon Girls Football League is an amateur football league for girls in Devon, England. It is affiliated to the Devon County Football Association and is open to girls of all abilities from the ages of 7 to 16.
The league was founded in 1995 and currently has over 100 teams competing in various age groups and divisions. The season runs from September to May, with each team playing 10-12 matches.
The top two teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated.
Competitions
- Devon Girls Football League: This is the main league for girls in Devon. It is divided into four divisions: Under-11s, Under-13s, Under-15s, and Under-17s.
- Devon Girls Football League Cup: This is a knockout cup competition for girls in Devon. It is open to all teams in the Devon Girls Football League.
- Devon Girls Football League Plate: This is a knockout cup competition for girls in Devon. It is open to teams that are knocked out of the Devon Girls Football League Cup in the first round.
