Devon Girls Football League
The Devon Girls Football League is an amateur football league for girls in Devon, South West England. It consists of three divisions, Under 11, Under 13, and Under 15. The league is affiliated to the Devon Football Association and the Football Association.
History
The Devon Girls Football League was founded in 2009. The inaugural season consisted of just one division, with 10 teams competing. The league has since grown to include over 40 teams and three divisions.
Divisions
- Under 11: This division is for girls born in 2013 or later. The teams play 9-a-side football.
- Under 13: This division is for girls born in 2011 or later. The teams play 11-a-side football.
- Under 15: This division is for girls born in 2009 or later. The teams play 11-a-side football.
Season
The Devon Girls Football League season runs from September to May. The teams play each other once in a round-robin format. The top teams at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom teams are relegated to the previous division.
