Devon Ability Counts League
The Devon Ability Counts League is an amateur football league for players with disabilities in Devon, England. The league was founded in 2016 and currently has teams in the following divisions:
- Premiership
- Division 1
- Division 2
- Intermediate
- Ladies Premiership
The league caters for all levels of ability, from beginner to experienced. Fixtures are held approximately once every six weeks during the season, with teams from across Devon playing several matches during the day at each event.
History
The Devon Ability Counts League was founded in 2016 by a group of volunteers who wanted to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to play football. The league was initially funded by the Devon Football Association and Variety, the Children's Charity.
The league has grown rapidly since its inception, and now has over 50 teams participating. In 2022, the league was sponsored by Tulip Ltd, a local company that specializes in window and door installation.
