Derwent Valley Junior Football League
The Derwent Valley Junior Football League is an amateur football league for children under the age of 16. It is based in the Derwent Valley area of Derbyshire, England.
The league was founded in 1972 and currently has over 50 clubs affiliated to it. The clubs are divided into different divisions based on age and ability.
Season Structure
The league season runs from September to April. Each team plays each other team in their division once, home and away. The top teams in each division qualify for the playoffs, with the winners being promoted to the next division.
The league also has a cup competition, the Hill Trophy. The Hill Trophy is open to all teams in the league.
