The Derby City Football League is an amateur football league in Derby, England. It was founded in 1921 and currently has over 100 teams competing in a variety of divisions.
History
The Derby City Football League was founded in 1921 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season of the league consisted of just 10 teams, but it has since grown to become one of the largest amateur football leagues in the country.
The league has been home to some famous players over the years, including former England internationals Peter Shilton and Paul Gascoigne.
Divisions
The Derby City Football League currently has over 100 teams competing in a variety of divisions. The top division is the Premier Division, followed by the Division One, Division Two, and so on. There are also a number of cup competitions, including the League Cup, the Challenge Cup, and the Floodlit Cup.
