DDSL: Durham Sunday Football League

The Durham Sunday Football League (DDSL) is an amateur football league based in County Durham, England. It was founded in 1967 and currently has over 200 teams competing in 12 divisions. The league is affiliated to the North East Football Association (NEFA).

History

The DDSL was founded in 1967 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just 10 teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 200 teams. The DDSL is currently divided into 12 divisions, ranging from the Premier Division to Division 12.

DDSL action

The DDSL has been home to some notable players over the years, including former Sunderland and England international Michael Gray. The league also has a strong tradition of producing talented young players, with many going on to play professional football.

Current season

The current season of the DDSL is the 2022-23 season. The Premier Division is currently being led by Brandon United, while the Division 12 title is being contested by Houghton Athletic and Stanley United.
