DASSA League
The DASSA League is the largest and longest running school sports association in the UAE.
Fully inclusive and open to all schools in Dubai, the DASSA leagues and competitions give students of all ages and abilities the opportunity to represent their school and showcase their talents in a structured and safe sporting environment.
All of DASSA's leagues and competitions are organised by PE teachers, who give up their time without financial reward to ensure Dubai's students have the opportunity to represent their school in the sport that they love.
History
The DASSA League was founded in 1976 by a group of PE teachers who wanted to provide a more structured and competitive environment for school sports in Dubai.
The league has grown significantly over the years and now offers a wide range of sports, including football, basketball, cricket, volleyball, and athletics.
The DASSA League is also a major contributor to the development of sports in the UAE. Many of the UAE's top athletes have come through the DASSA League, including Omar Abdulrahman, the captain of the UAE national football team.
Competitions
The DASSA League offers a variety of competitions for different age groups and abilities. The most popular competition is the DASSA Football League, which is open to all schools in Dubai.
The DASSA Football League is divided into three divisions: the Premier Division, the First Division, and the Second Division. The Premier Division is the top division and is contested by the best schools in Dubai.
The DASSA League also offers competitions for basketball, cricket, volleyball, and athletics.
