What is Cupliga?
Cupliga is an amateur football league in India. It is the third tier of football in India, behind the Indian Super League (ISL) and the I-League. The league was founded in 2017 by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to provide a platform for amateur footballers to compete at a high level.
Cupliga is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and the First Division. The Premier Division has 12 teams, while the First Division has 16 teams. The teams in each division play each other once, home and away. The top two teams in the Premier Division at the end of the season are promoted to the I-League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the First Division. The top two teams in the First Division are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Second Division.
