Coronation League & Alliance

The Coronation League and Alliance Football League is an amateur football league in England. It was founded in 1903 and is based in the North West of England. The league has two divisions, the Coronation League and the Alliance Football League.

History

The Coronation League was founded in 1903, shortly after the coronation of King Edward VII. The league was originally called the Bolton and District Amateur Football League, but was renamed the Coronation League in 1911. The league has been played continuously ever since, except for during the First and Second World Wars.

The Alliance Football League was founded in 1965. The league was originally called the Bolton and District Alliance Football League, but was renamed the Alliance Football League in 1978. The league has been played continuously ever since.
