Introduction
The Cornwall Girls Football League (CGFL) is an amateur football league for girls in Cornwall, England. It was founded in 2015/16 and currently caters for teams from U8 to U16 level.
The CGFL is affiliated to the Cornwall Football Association (CFA) and follows the FA's football development guidelines. The league is run by a committee of volunteers and is committed to providing a fun and safe environment for girls to play football.
League Structure
The CGFL is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One. Each division has a set number of teams, which are determined by the number of teams that register each season.
The teams in each division play each other home and away, with the top teams at the end of the season being promoted to the next division and the bottom teams being relegated to the previous division.
The CGFL also runs a cup competition, the CGFL Cup, which is open to all teams in the league. The cup competition is played in a knock-out format, with the winners of the cup being crowned champions.
