Introduction
The Colchester and East Essex Football League (C&EEFL) is an amateur football league based in Essex, England. It is currently in the 15th tier of the English football league system.
The league was founded in 1922 and currently has 3 divisions: Premier Division, Division One, and Division Two. The Premier Division champions are promoted to the Essex and Suffolk Border Football League, while the bottom two teams in each division are relegated to the next lower division.
The league headquarters are located at the Mile End Recreation Ground in Colchester.
Recent seasons
- In the 2021-22 season, the Premier Division champions were Tollesbury, who were promoted to the Essex and Suffolk Border Football League. The bottom two teams, Writtle and Wormingford Wanderers, were relegated to Division One.
- In the 2020-21 season, the Premier Division champions were Brightlingsea Regent Reserves, who were promoted to the Essex and Suffolk Border Football League. The bottom two teams, Writtle and Kirby Athletic, were relegated to Division One.
- In the 2019-20 season, the season was abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
