The Clacton And District Sunday League is an amateur football league based in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, England. It was founded in 1970 and currently consists of one division with 12 teams.
History
The league was founded in 1970 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season saw 10 teams compete, and the league has grown steadily since then. In 2023, the league consists of 12 teams playing each other home and away.
Competition
The league is played on a Sunday afternoon, and each team plays 22 matches during the season. The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, and the bottom two teams are relegated.
The league also has a cup competition, the Arthur Boswell Cup. The cup is played in a knock-out format, and the winner of the cup is the overall champion of the league.
