The Chelmsford Youth Football League incorporating The U21 League is an amateur football league based in Chelmsford, Essex, England. It was founded in 1921 and currently has over 100 teams competing in a variety of age groups, from U7s to U21s.
History
The Chelmsford Youth Football League was founded in 1921 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league initially consisted of just a few teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 teams competing in a variety of age groups.

Current StructureThe Chelmsford Youth Football League is divided into a number of divisions, based on the age of the players. The top division is the U18 Premier Division, followed by the U18 Division 1, U18 Division 2, and so on. There are also divisions for U17s, U16s, U15s, U14s, U13s, U12s, U11s, U10s, U9s, and U7s.
The league uses a league format, with each team playing each other team in their division once at home and once away. The top teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the higher division, while the bottom teams are relegated to the lower division.
