The Chelmsford & District Churches Football League is an amateur football league based in Chelmsford, Essex, England. It was founded in 1978 and currently has 20 teams competing in three divisions. The league is affiliated to the Essex County Football Association.
History
The Chelmsford & District Churches Football League was founded in 1978 by a group of church ministers who wanted to provide a sporting outlet for people of all ages and abilities. The league has grown steadily over the years and now has over 200 registered players.
The league has a strong commitment to developing young players and has a number of youth teams. The league also runs a number of other events, such as a summer tournament and a veterans' competition.
Current season
The current season is the 45th season of the Chelmsford & District Churches Football League. The league is sponsored by The Railway Hotel in Chelmsford.
The current champions are CGC, who won the title in 2022-23. The runners-up were Danbury Mission.
