Challengers League
The Challengers League is an amateur football league in Belgium. It is the second-highest division in the Belgian football league system, one level below the Belgian Pro League.
The league was created in 2016, replacing the Belgian Second Division. It is currently sponsored by Proximus.
Format
The Challengers League consists of 12 teams. The teams play each other twice, once at home and once away. The top 6 teams at the end of the season are promoted to the Belgian Pro League, while the bottom 6 teams are relegated to the Belgian National Division 1.
