Central London Sunday League

The Central London Sunday League (CLSL) is an amateur football league in London, England. It was founded in 1923 and is one of the largest Sunday leagues in the country, with over 200 teams competing in 10 divisions.

The CLSL is open to all teams, regardless of ability. There are teams for all levels of players, from beginners to experienced veterans. The league also offers a variety of cup competitions, including the Challenge Cup, the Premier Cup, and the Veterans Cup.

History

The CLSL was founded in 1923 by a group of football enthusiasts who wanted to create a league that would cater to the needs of amateur players. The league started with just 10 teams, but it has grown steadily over the years. Today, the CLSL has over 200 teams competing in 10 divisions.

The CLSL has played a major role in the development of football in London. Many former CLSL players have gone on to play professional football, including Geoff Hurst, Jimmy Greaves, and Bobby Moore. The league has also produced a number of international players, including John Barnes, Paul Ince, and Sol Campbell.

  • Veterans Cup: The Veterans Cup is open to teams of players aged 35 and over.
